What Is Paint Correction?

Bring Back The Gloss.

Paint correction is the process of removing surface defects — swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, and haze — from your vehicle’s clear coat.

Using multi-stage machine polishing, we level the clear coat to restore depth, clarity, and a mirror-like gloss.

It’s the essential first step before any ceramic coating, since coatings lock in whatever’s underneath.

FAQ

Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers.

Is paint correction permanent?

Yes. Correction physically removes defects from the clear coat — they do not come back. Future defects can be prevented with ceramic coating or PPF.

How long does paint correction take?

An enhancement polish takes a day. A one-step correction typically runs 1-2 days. A multi-step correction can take 2-4 days depending on vehicle size and condition.

Will correction thin my paint?

Correction removes a microscopic layer of clear coat. When performed with paint depth measurements, it is completely safe and can be done more than once over a vehicle’s life.

Do I need correction before ceramic coating?

For best results, yes. Ceramic coating locks in whatever is underneath — including swirls and scratches — so correction should be done first.

Can correction remove every scratch?

Deep scratches that have cut through the clear coat cannot be polished out. We’ll inspect and tell you upfront what can and can’t be corrected.
